Do Bahá’ís believe in Christ?
Yes. Baha’u’llah taught that God lived on earth among us as Christ, a being who is beyond our understanding.
What about heaven and hell?
To Bahá’ís, heaven is nearness to God while hell is distance from Him. These are not believed to be actual places, more spiritual conditions.
What else does the faith say about life after death?
Baha’u’llah explained that everyone has a soul, which is born when we are born. When we are alive, it is important that our soul develops spiritual qualities, like…(please explain like what). That’s because when we die, our soul leaves this world and enters God’s spiritual world, where it carries on growing.
Where would I find my local Bahá’í church?
You won’t find one. This is because Bahá’í communities do not have clergy or churches. Instead, followers choose councils (called Spiritual Assemblies) to take care of things to do with faith in their community. Meetings are often held in homes or Bahá’í centres.
