Q. What are you going to do about knives and guns?

A. We have to try to get knives and guns off our streets and so we support the police and community efforts to try to stop this. But we also have to try to understand why people carry knives and guns - often it is because they are frightened. And so they end up trying to frighten other people just to stop feeling frightened themselves. We have to try to build trust between people. This is difficult but it is the only way.
