Q. Why can't you graffiti on public walls?

A. Unfortunately some people do feel the need to get out the spray can. But the word ‘respect’ in this picture is one of the answers why graffiti in the wrong place shouldn´t be tolerated. Graffiti is an anti-social act. It doesn´t respect other people´s property and contributes to making an area look neglected and rundown. Graffiti affects how people feel about a local area; for example, they may feel less safe, especially if the words are threatening or racist. Even if the slogans are harmless or the artwork colourful not everyone appreciates having walls or buildings decorated in this way. Having a sense of respect for other´s people property is part of being a good citizen. Young or old - our local communities thrive on citizenship.
