Producing the Little Book of Faith has highlighted the diversity and complexity of faith communities in the borough. This map features places of worship by the main faith associated with the building - it does not include the many faith groups that practice their faith in spaces shared with other faith groups.
For a list of faith groups and details of where they meet, we recommend that you consult the Directory of Tower Hamlets Religious Groups and Organisations produced by Barnardo´s Candl Project. We are grateful for their support of this project.
We have tried to ensure that all information printed was correct at the time of publication. However, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of the content and therefore ask you to let us know of any changes for our next edition. If your place of worship is not included and you would like it to feature in future, please send your details to info@faithintowerhamlets.com.
This map includes Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim and Sikh places of worship. We would like to hear from other faith groups that have a public place of worship in the borough. We also welcome your suggestions and observations on the usefulness of the map. Tower Hamlets Inter Faith Forum was established to celebrate the important contribution that religious faith makes to the lives of local communities and to foster greater understanding and respect between our communities.
